Recently I did some screen shots from the opening theme of the new television series. I posted these images only to later realize something was wrong. Take a close look at this picture:
Alright, now in case you haven't caught it yet, look at the size of head in relation to the size of the body. Larva must have angered someone who likes shrinking heads!

Comment: he is the best looking out of all the shinma and the most loyal shinma i have ever
met.
his silence and understanding make him very impresive for the entire shinma raise, therefore
none of those abnormal features(hair,eyes, HIEGHT, ect.) are important.

Comment: hmmm...well i'm just doing research on the character at the moment, but i find him
really cool. he is silent in the anime which gives him a cool mysterious kind of touch, his
hair is a good compliment to his looks, and the cloak thing is obvious. in many animes
characters wear layers of cloth. the layers make the shoulders look broader, or they have
armor on the shoulders and a cape is covering it. in my theory larva's head isn't small, he
just has a tall frame and wears a cloak with layers of cloth.

Comment: Actually, this animation have some of the most amazing pictures I have ever seen. One flawed picture should not be an overtly big topic. What I really care about is that they should make more animation on this series. It is seriously interesting, and this is only the second day I knew of its existence.
*note from website mistress Kei* I have to completely agree with you. This is the most beautiful series I've run across. Have you seen the Manga? Very nicely done. I highly recommend it. I don't think the flawed picture is a big deal, but I am bothered by the fact the the tv series is done in cell animation, and I find it very odd that something like this could be missed.

Comment: Despite loving the seiyu for Larva,I would say that it's not a bad thing that he didn't talk in the OAV. Mostly because, what would he have said? I can't think of any lines the writers could have given him that would have made the OAV any better. I think any dialogue would have sounded forced. Actually, I think a lot of his lines in the manga sound forced or arn't really important (at least in the orginal series)

Comment: I have to comment on this one too since it wasn't my question this month. I love the seiyuu! ;-) I think the main reason Larva doesn't talk is he's considered a secondary character. Miyu, being the main character, obviously gets all the lines. This leaves Larva with an air of mystery around him. Probably why I like him so much. Still it would have been nice to hear him speak at least a bit more then he did in the OAV or at least take off the mask (but that wouldn't have gone with the storyline in the 3rd installment). In the first of the manga series, he didn't speak much, but the stories concentrated mainly on Miyu, so it made sense. It was nice to see that the second of the manga series concentrated a lot on Larva's past and the Western Shinma. Or maybe he's just really depressed!

Comment: I must agree with you...he has more sexual attraction and is ever so much more captivating to the mind, the less be speaks... the bigger mystery he becomes...it draws in the audience (ok, mainly teenage females)he is apart of who Miyu is...Like you said Mistress. It is much more interesting to for his actions to speak for themselves...although an occasional....seductively phrased word or two does not hurt. ~Meow~

Comment: I've only seen the first two episodes of the OAV's and am anxious to see the last two, but it would have been nice for Larva to say a few words, not much, maybe that he loves Miyu or something. I liked their attatchment to each other, it was sweet, yet so mysterious. He is cute, for a fictional character. I like him the way he is, but a few words wouldn't hurt.

Comment: Of course he shoulda been able to talk!! He had to have some thoughts he must have wanted to say. In the manga he could talk. Why not in the OAV's? Just maybe tell Miyu that he loves her or something.... you know?

Comment: There's always something different and weird about each character, Larva's blue
hair is something interesting, its good to be different. I believe that the blue hair was done
for some reason, a meaning, too bad i don't know that reason. But lets face it... Larva looks
so damn cool!!!
p.s. i like this page... all the fan art rocks... keep it up.... ^_^

Comment: For me, odd hair color has always interested me. I adore the blue of Larva's mane. Even on living beings, I've always loved blues, purples, and most of all, pinks. It's just another interesting aspect of a person. Adds to their character.

Comment: Personally, I think that the unusual or unnatural hair colors seem to show their personality. Larva, for example, has blue hair. To me I see his blue hair shows that he is a caring understanding person who is calm and passive most of the time.

Comment: I think Black is still the best color for hair specially when its dep black but I think that the hair of Larva had its own mysterious effect on us that we can't really a good guy or a bad one... Its like a temptation...maybe and mystery all in one!

Comment: I think it's pretty good, but they should made the head a bit bigger than his body,
but I'm sure it will turn out good. Good luck with the web site on Larva, and don't worry
about his hair, everyone has blue hair once in a while, it's not like the end of the world, so
don't worry about Larva's hair he looks great like that!
