CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
CONTRIBUTIONS TO SPIRITUAL SCIENCE
APHORISM #1: There have been a small number of major contributors to the field of spiritual science befitting our modern age: George Gurdjieff, Rudolph Steiner, Sri Aurobindo, Franklin Merrell-Wolff, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and myself, Edward Tarabilda.
APHORISM #2: My contribution has been the complete and clear articulation of the various archetypal paths to God and their sources, the creation of a technology for helping each individual know his or her own best path, as well as a systematic investigation and elaboration of how the various fields of relative knowledge interact with the Absolute, unmanifest value of life.
APHORISM #3: Wolff’s contribution has been the creation of a series of aphorisms that constitute a sort of spiritual mathematics delineating the essential relationships of the terms and ideas expressing the spiritual life. The value of this approach as a catalyst for Realization cannot be emphasized enough.
APHORISM #4: Gurdjieff, Steiner and Aurobindo developed forms of spiritual teachings and types of training that articulated and honored all the various sheaths within a human being and allowed someone trained in these systems to effectively interact and instruct a person from the appropriate level. The Art of Multi-Dimensional Living ® brings this process to a higher state of refinement because its applied technology, The Cosmology of the Eight Fields of Living, provides a scientific methodology that brings greater consistency, reliability and certitude than formerly possible.
APHORISM #5: Maharishi’s genius is his ability to create spiritual group programs and organizations that uplift the collective consciousness of humanity.
APHORISM #6: Indirectly, quantum physicists have also been catalysts for the growth of spiritual science despite the fact that many of them continue to resist the spiritual implications of their own discoveries.
APHORISM #7: It has been argued that Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras are a key work in spiritual science, but it must be remembered that Patanjali only sets forth certain universal principles that define the philosophy of Yoga and does not address the other major aspect of spiritual science, namely, all the archetypal individual variations within these universal principles and laws. These variations are, themselves, essential and equally significant laws. It is only The Art of Multi-Dimensional Living ® that embraces both sets of laws and thereby provides a fuller and deeper definition of spiritual science.
