This well known author, political commentator and regular participant in many televised debates has a powerful lower mind (See my article on Einstein for a discussion of higher and lower mind). His mind is particularly strong in using the science of logic, not unlike a courtroom lawyer arguing rules of evidence. However, my real purpose in writing about this great man is to highlight the difference between relating style (the field of interpersonal relationships) and the use of one's energy body to achieve success and influence (the field of mental health).

Buckley's relating style is governed by the planet Jupiter, and thus, he always communicates in a most civil, polite, gregarious and balanced way. However, his field of mental health which determines how he projects his energy to achieve success and influence, is governed by the planet Mars, and consequently, there is a strong competitive edge to his underlying demeanor. No one is fooled by the polite and sophisticated rhetoric; this is a man who will use every trick in the book to gain an edge on an opponent.

Yet, underneath this latter quality is a man of gentle compassion and Christian religiosity. This is the core of Buckley, a core not always appreciated by those who have been laid low by his verbal dagger-like thrusts.
