The controversies surrounding President Clinton are escalating by the month. It is important that we have a clear understanding through the principles of The Art of Multi-Dimensional Living of this world leader, of his strengths and weaknesses of personality, so that we aren't unduly influenced by either the good or bad press he receives daily.

The first thing we must grasp is the enormous leadership abilities which this man possesses. Clinton's inner spiritual nature is governed by a strong Sun and it's the Sun which signifies the natural born leader who rules with great authority and ease. The fact that President Clinton tends to change his mind a lot is not a weakness but rather a particular style within the spiritual nature; it is actually an asset rather than a liability if looked at objectively.

America has not had a president inwardly guided by a strong solar nature for a very long time and the American people intuitively recognize the value of Clinton's solar leadership.. Thus, much to the consternation of his critics, Clinton is seen as getting away with behaviors and activities which would normally bring down lesser men while his popularity soars.

In addition, President Clinton has a reasonably strong Jupiterian desire nature, which makes him pure hearted in his motivation to serve the American people and skillful and learned in how he does so. At the same time, his hard earned wealth tends to be stripped away through humiliating disputes with women This same factor appears once again when we analyze his caste nature, so he has a double-whammy in this regard.

President Clinton is a member of the business caste. Ideally, a president should be a member of the warrior caste, but we have had many presidents who were not and still functioned somewhat effectively. and Clinton's warrior-like spiritual nature helps balance this minor defect. In effect, Clinton's caste nature means that he deals best with economic issues such as distribution of health-care and welfare, although he is hardly inept at handling social and political issues by reason of his spiritual nature.

Clinton is also gifted with a powerful energy body. He loves tackling tough problems and does so with precision and forth rightness. The public will see him as a doer rather than just a talker and will implicitly trust him in times of crisis. He will also have the physical health and stamina to effectively carry on his functions as President. Although like former President Reagan, he is likely to have serious health problems in his elder years, including the possibility of Alzheimer's disease, if he fails to take adequate preventive measures.

President Clinton's relating style is governed by the Moon. This makes him very empathetic and caring, particularly because the sign of Cancer also plays a prominent role in his personality. He is somewhat libidinous in nature and won over by females. When these relationships cause trouble, he is not above bending the truth, but only after ascertaining what he feels is the greatest good in the entire matter. Clinton also demonstrates courage and friendliness as part of his lunar relating style. This strong emotive style of relating may be misinterpreted at times. At other times it may be used to "enjoy physical pleasures with many women" according to the ancient Vedic sages.

Clinton's greatest flaw is a weak Venus governing the field of creative play and his destiny. This weakness has a number of likely significations:

1. Over attachment to his child, possibly spoiling her, or feeling that she can do no wrong;

2. a growing preoccupation with romantic forms of play whether that play is merely a form of fantasy, or whether it is acted out in ideal friendships, innocent romances or not so innocent ones;

3. poor discrimination in when and how he plays and with whom;

4. plays softly and sweetly - too much so at times;

5. drawn to bad women;

6. a need for frequent rest and relaxation. Note: part of this need is not negative but comes from his destiny, which pushes him in the direction of increasingly varied forms of play and recreation, especially ones with a romantic component.

The planet Venus, which is President Clinton's achilles heel so to speak, started ruling in August of 1995 and will continue to rule until August of 1998. Then things should get better. assuming that the most recent scandals do not bring him down, which is not very likely due to his powerful career nature and his ability to find creative ways to defeat his enemies. His strong spiritual nature and vital body will also serve him in good stead during this crisis. In the final analysis, the American people are not likely to want to lose a President who is so ideally qualified for his office, even if they do suspect that many of the allegations made against him have merit. For once, I think the American people are making a proper assessment

On the other side of the coin, it is never a good sign when one's destiny is governed by a weak planet. It is like sailing into a hurricane. Thus, it becomes extremely important to use one's predominant strength of personality in an effective spiritual manner. For Bill Clinton, this means the practice of Surya Yoga, where he seeks to simultaneously develop heart, mind and will through the meditative or other spiritual practices which correspond to this Yoga. This will ensure that he does not become over-shadowed by his challenging destiny and that he establishes an inner freedom which is not tarnished or threatened by any outer life circumstance. Surya Yogins want two-hundred percent of life -- the best of both worlds, spiritual and material. They also delight in shining like the Sun and demonstrating their spiritual values through dynamic leadership in the world. Thus, it is apparent that Bill Clinton is already a practicing Surya Yogin. He merely may need to make this process a more conscious one.

A final note: the principles of Surya, or any other Yoga can be applied within any religious tradition -- Christian, Mormon, Islamic, Buddhist or Hindu. "The Eight Great Paths to God" described by The Art of Multi-Dimensional Living are universal in nature even though they were first adopted in ancient India. They can be found in any religious tradition if you look deeply enough. Is the theory of relativity "German" just because Einstein discovered it? No westerner should label these practices "Hindu" just because the ancient Sanskrit names have been preserved.
