7-18-98 THE DALAI LAMA

I the Tibetan tradition it is understood that a Dalai Lama is a fully enlightened human being, and can be recognized as such by the time, date and place he is born. At the same time, we also know that religious leaders are not always what they claim to be, or what their followers would like them to be. We also question whether we can we trust that modern day Tibetan monks have the occult abilities to know which child is truly capable of becoming a full-fledged Dalai Lama? So, what is the truth of the matter in the case of the present Dalai Lama? The Art of Multi-Dimensional Living® confirms unequivocally that the Dalai Lama does qualify as an enlightened One.

He is also a member of the warrior caste, which makes him ideally suited to be a national leader, who helps his country survive its invasion by China. Being a member of the warrior caste does not prelude him from being a religious leader, but it does relegate him to being a protector rather than innovator in this realm.

There are no major personality defects in this great man and he is a shining example of an ideal spiritual leader. He is not pretentious, nor does he show signs of the false humility demonstrated by many Christian clerics. All the faults we see in the modern day Indian guru model do not apply to him, largely because of how he conducts himself in his role as spiritual and temporal leader. He is also more than capable of expounding on the exoteric and esoteric doctrines of Tibetan Buddhism. In summary, he is a remarkable human being deserving the name "Son of God."
