3-10-98 HENRY FORD

The field of creative play governs our avocations, the forms of play we use to regenerate ourselves. It also governs our most basic form of creativity: the ability to have and enjoy children. When the Sun rules this field, as it did in the case of Henry Ford, it reflects an expansive creativity, inventiveness, entrepeneurship, and a powerful intuition.

Another of Ford's great gifts was his ability to create policies which transcended the Marxist-Leninist theory that workers would always be taken advance of by management. Ford understood that affluent workers meant potential customers for his cars. He created an "everybody wins" strategy which served him well throughout his long and successful career. Ford was a doer who welcomed any challenge with open arms and yet saw the wisdom of including others in meeting these challenges.

When Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, a famous Yogi from the east, was once asked: "Who are the yogis of the west?", he answered by saying: "Look to your leading business entrepeneurs, who show such enormous creativity in fulfilling their desires." I think it was a good answer; we often overlook such leaders, forgetting that spirituality is best demonstrated by effective, selfless action that leaves tangible lasting benefits for humanity.
