8-27-98 MARTIN LUTHER
We have spoken of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh as a great Tantric from the east. Do we have a western representative of the outlaw path? Yes we do, Martin Luther. Not only was he a great Tantric, but his Venusian primal desire nature was weak. This allowed him to focus primarily on the inner spiritual life rather than expend any energy towards more outward accomplishments. The fact that his inner spiritual life brought results that caused conflict with the Catholic church is another matter altogether.
Martin Luther had enormous courage. He was afraid of nothing. Combine this trait with a revolutionary and highly productive spiritual nature and you have the makings of a major schism, which later developed with the Catholic Church. The Cosmology of the Eight Fields of LivingÔ indicates that Martin Luther's rebellious nature stemmed from deep spiritual insight and experience. He was a great saint even if destined to be a controversial one by reason of his Tantric nature.
Surprisingly enough, Martin Luther was not a Brahman, but a member of the Warrior caste. His role was to uphold what was good in Christianity and to deny the rest of it. That a new religion could form from such a stance is a tribute to Martin Luther's deep spiritual empowerment.
